Boating Information

The cottage has full boat access to Crowe Lake.  It is the last cottage with motor boat access to Crowe Lake.  Canoes and Kayaks can be paddled up river and carried over the rocks for a tour of the  river.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you plan to use any of the provided boats or  your own you are responsible for making sure you are properly licensed for the boat and that you and any passengers are wearing the appropriate safety gear.

The cottage contains a large variety of adult and child PFDs but we can not guarantee they will fit you or your children.  You are responsible for making sure you have the appropriate safety gear when boating.  We do provide a boating safety kit as required by law for the aluminum boat.  Please Contact us about renting an electric trolling motor with battery.

Bringing your own boat

You can bring your own boat.  The dock is 20 feet in length and the maximum boat length will depend on the draft and water level which varies depending on the year and time of year.  Boats can be launched from the property, or from a boat launch on Blairton Bay of Crowe Lake.

Important Note:  Care must be taken with motorized boats when navigating the river as there are several submerged rocks on the route to the lake and not all of them are marked.

Please Contact us regarding pets.
